Marks & Spencer Donation

Christmas Day Lunch And Essential Food Packs
Boosted By Generous Donation!

A huge thank you to the team at Marks & Spencer Clacton for their donation of food items for our Christmas Day lunch.  157 local old and lonely people received a free Christmas Day lunch and goody bag.  The supplies were boosted by the generous donation of items from the Clacton store.  40 volunteers from the local community gave up their Christmas Day to help with the huge task of providing a cooked lunch, entertainment, transport and goody bags for everyone attending.

This is the first year Marks & Spencer have been able to donate to the Rotary Club of Clacton and it made a tremendous difference to all the recipients.

Club President Kevin Harkin said “Clacton Rotary has successfully drawn together local business and volunteers to provide this fantastic service for local people, the generosity of donations of goods and peoples time is astounding, we look forward to doing even more next year!”
